![]() Though not necessarily a top 10 kind of character, Kano tends to rank relatively higher up on pro player tier lists. His pull is a very fast mid that ropes the opponent in for a full combo on hit, causing opponents to always be distracted with its potential. He excels at this, but is also great at mid range thanks to his longer reaching specials that can threaten big damage from medium distance. Like many characters in MK11, Kano is mostly about getting up close and putting on strong strike pressure juxtaposed with throw and command grab mix ups from time to time. His forward 1+2, back 2 has a ton of utility, but does not work against a handful of characters (Johnny, Jacqui, Joker, Kitana, Nightwolf, and a few others) as the second attack will whiff. Kano boasts hit-confirmable strings that are plus on block, giving him incredibly important tools to go far in Mortal Kombat 11. He can create a kind of magnetic force to pull enemies close, blast energy beams from it, and even toss it out onto the battlefield to serve as a kind of land mine. This new and improved heart actually serves Kano in battle in multiple ways as it provides enhancements to his cybernetic abilities. He wears only a pair of green pants with holsters for his knives and is bare chested save for a Bandolier that holds his cybernetic heart (presumably having donated his initial one to children in need). Very much recognizable in Mortal Kombat 11 thanks in no small part to his glowing red cybernetic eye, Kano keeps things simple when it comes to appearance. The leader of the Black Dragon criminal organization, Kano has been making black market deals and betraying temporary allies since the first Mortal Kombat game dropped back on October 8, 1992. Kano was part of Mortal Kombat 11's 25 character starting lineup, and was available to play upon the game's release back on April 23, 2019.
